Snow Shoes

This functional sculpture actually saw action during a gigantic snowstorm that year (1993), but they weren’t very efficient. Being a Georgia Boy by birth, I hadn’t yet realized that the heel needed to move freely, as in cross-country skiing. They were buoyant, anyways.
