Snow Shoes

This functional sculpture actually saw action during a gigantic snowstorm in 1993, but they weren’t very efficient. I hadn’t yet realized that the heel needed to move freely, as in cross-country skiing. The shoes were buoyant, anyways, and the workout they provided was intense.
